A visit to River Farm

White House Gates

These gates were placed at the northeast entrance of the White House in 1819, part of the White House restoration after its burning by the British during the War of 1812. After 120 years the gates were relocated here, and in 2004 they were restored and placed at the front of River Farm. (Source: http://www.ahs.org/about-river-farm/virtual-tour)
